A Small Game Jam
Vicity is a small town builder I developed together with my friend and fellow student Julian Seidel. We set a frame of 5 days for ourselves and wanted to see what we can get done in this amount of time.
In the game, you can build a town above the clouds. There is no pressure or underlying objective, the experience focuses on calmness and smooth feedback. We focused on setting a small scope and making the simple core gameplay feel as rewarding as possible.

Making It Feel Alive
The game is filled with subtle visual and auditory feedback. Every interaction with the world is designed to be straight-forward and satisfying, inviting the player to zoom in and look closer at the constructed cityscape. There are three different color palettes, ensuring that the experience does not become monotonous and stays visually interesting.
This was the shortest game project I had ever worked on, and also my first time working as a team of two. I am really happy with the result and could see myself participating in official game jams in the future.
